This is a song written some years ago. Vaguely about 'Who's afraid of Virginia Wolf'. As if I haven't written enough lyrics with this movie as it's theme. It was once part of my 'where tweak meets country twang', 'Nashville meets Duesseldorf' phase. I can't think of the best production for it, so ... have fun. It should remain in it's current tempo and vocal arrangement. IMPORTANT NOTE: The guitar is a scrap guitar and NOT TO BE USED in the production. It is only there to indicate chords, pace, arrangement. Feel free to send me the results, and please, do consult me via

are you loathsome tonight?
again the sun is sinking low
it’s been burning hot all day
you turn around and then you say:
i guess it looks like rain
i feel the heat i watch your pace
i feel savagely ignored
i feel the dust settle like lead
and heaven knows i’m bored
tonight are you loathsome
are you loatsome tonight
tonight are you loathsome
are you loatsome tonight
i knew it would be dinner time
the story’s getting old
and i wonder will the taste grow stale
before the food is cold
when nobless wanes tristesse remains
like liz and richard knew
so why don’t we pull the last damn straw and finish
what those two couldn’t do
tonight are you loathsome
are you loathsome tonight
tonight are you loathsome
are you loatsome tonight
i don't know why you're so tired
we're not done for the day
tonight.....
